Here is the first rider update. We are very excited out this year’s tour. We expect that is will be the best ever. If you have any question, please email bruce@massbikepike.org. Much of the information that we post on the rider updates is because riders like you asked.

  • Start and overnights

  • No material will be mailed

  • Routes are now posted

  • Overnight stops announced

  • Who is making dinner each night

  • Alternate accommocation

  1. In case you were wondering, no materials will be mailed prior to the event. You will be given your ride package when you check in on August 8th or 9th.
  2. Our 2010 routes are now posted on the web site at http://www.massbikepike.org/theRide.html. There is a button for cue sheets and changing from km to miles.
All of the routes will have hills. The better prepared you are, the more fun it will be.
We continue to tweak the routes, so some changes may occur. When you arrive at the tour start, you will be given a package with maps and routes, so there is no need to print out any of the online materials.
  3. Our overnights stops will be as follows.
August 6 - Quaboag Middle High School in Warren, MA
August 7th - Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA
August 8th - Ralph C Mahar Regional High School in Orange, MA
  4. Dinners will be provided by BT’s Smokehouse, Anna Maria College food service and Reed’s Country Store. We have worked with all of them in the past. You will not be disappointed.
  5. Alternate Accommodations
A list of preferred accommodations is available on the Sign-up page or the web site, or you can go the list directly at http://www.massbikepike.org/MassBikePikeAccommodation.pdf. On August 6th, everyone will be stay in the dormitories at the college. We hope this is the night that it rains  For those of you who are not camping the other nights, linens will be available at a nominal cost. More information about this option will be available soon.
