Ride Leader and Sag Responsibilities

Working with a Ride Route Team

Scout the teams 4 daily routes (either car or bike)
- Updates cue sheets to make them clearer and easier to understand
- Note places that require directional signage
- Note Landmarks
- Note good places for people to purchase lunch or snacks

Between July 12th and 20th
- Ride (Sags drive) the routes to make sure that they are familiar with
them.
- Note problem area due to construction or problem with the pavement.
- Suggest final cue sheet adjustments as necessary

Be
available for the Mass BikePike Tour - August 14th – 17th

Requirement
- Experience leading group rides
- Good people skills
- Fun loving
- Sag drivers must supply their own vehicle. Gas will be paid for.

In Return
- Registration fee ($300) is waived
- All the swag we can come up with
NOTES:

Routes that need coverage are 30 miles and 50 mile long.

We have already assigned ride team leaders for each of routes
lengths
Ride leaders will make every effort to organize their pre-ride group so
they can do pre-ride(s) and then have return transportation at the end of the
day.
Each ride will have 3 leader (leader, intermediate sweep, final
sweep)

We will accommodate pairs of people who want to split
responsibilities
o
½ fee for each person
o
The must cover all 4 days.
o
They both must fulfill pre-ride responsibilities.
o
We are open to other creative ideas (multiple people sharing
several jobs)
